Carnegie Mellon for Pre-Med

After my rejections from both Duke and Berkeley, I received my acceptance from the Melon College of Science. I was ambivalent at first, but Mellon's beginning to appeal to me. I'm hoping to go into medicine, and I know that MCS students have an 85-90% acceptance into Med School. Should I be happy about this acceptance or should I be looking for other options?
Also, I'd greatly appreciate it if any of you can tell me about life at and around CMU.

85%-90% looks extremely high, so I'm guessing that's not accurate. If it is a high admit rate, though, that can only be a good thing. If you can afford it, I'd definitely go.

You should check into that. Most likely they have a premed committee you have to go through before applying to med school. If you don't fit their criteria then they wont write you a letter. Which would inflate their acceptance rate.
