Carnegie Mellon Qatar

Ok all I have here is a simple question based on my info. I’m an American high school student and I can speak four different languages (Arabic, English, Persian and Russian) and I have lived in Dubai before because of my dads job. I want to major in computer science and I thought Going to Carnegie Mellon Qatar will be a good experience for me. I have all A’s and B’s, bunch of Extracurriculars and Volunteer hours and a 2350 SAT score.

I know this is a tough question but does anyone know how hard it is to get into Carnegie Mellon Qatar ?

Is it possible to transfer from Qatar campus to Pittsburgh ??

If there is anything else about the school I’ll be happy to hear !!

Thank you !!

I hope this isn’t to late.
Im a freshmen at Carnegie Mellon, pittsburgh but I live in Qatar and I am very well read about the Carnegie Mellon in Qatar. Let me just tell you that the admission process is not half as competitive as the one in pittsburgh but you will be getting the same degree, which I think is awesome. In terms of the country, Qatar is absolutely an awesome place to live in especially the cmu dorms in Qatar are like 5 star hotels. If you are trying to transfer to main campus it isn’t the easiest thing to do but obviously as a cmu student in Qatar you stand out but again it is challenging as far as i’m concerned. Hope that helped!
I say go for it!
All the best
