@albertr When I applied a few years ago, all you had to do was put in your income and there was no other verification. I definitely don’t remember sending in a tax form. Just put in an estimate as that’s what I did.
You get one month. Essentially, you won’t get the chance to weigh your options because MITES comes out April 15th.
If you accept your placement at SAMS, but later get accepted to another program that you prefer, would you be able to “change your mind” and go to the other program? It’s not like they can stop you right? I’m on the wait-list btw, it’s not like I can/going to do this. I’m just curious for the ones who are in this situation.
@TheMadScientistX yea it’s true I don’t see how they could stop you. you would just lose your $100 deposit…
I completely did not see the 300 word minimum per essay. Four of my essays are under, and my fifth is over the word limit. Does this probably mean it’s a rejection? I submitted my app exactly a week ago.
I had a similar issue, so I emailed but they said that that would “not affect your essays”
I submitted mine before midnight of the 15th, now the submission/upload buttons are gone
Did I screw up? My application says submitted 1/28/19, but I can’t remember what I pressed to cause that. I’m pretty sure I didn’t outright press something that confirmed a final submission. I added all my application material after, in February, and just assumed they would know when my application was actually complete.
So I have all the SAMS supplemental essays turned in, but I haven’t done the AI4ALL essays yet. I thought they were optional but I keep getting emails telling me that I have missing materials. Are the AI4ALL essays required or not?
I also just turned in the AI4ALL essay (I’m mainly applying to AI4ALL) but I haven’t heard back from them yet. They probably just haven’t seen it yet, but do I’m also wondering if I have to turn in the SAMS essays.
Has anyone heard back from CMU yet?
@maxiong10
update: I emailed cmu and they said that I will be reviewed for ai4all, which means that you do not need to submit all essays.
Anyone else got acceptance email within the last few days?
Hi everyone! I’m a bit late on this thread but I’m an AP/EA (thru the access program) alumni! If you guys have any questions about the AP/EA program or just this general summer in Pittsburgh, let me know! Congrats to all of you who were accepted as well
If I’m accepted to SAMS, do I must attend because I applied to other programs? I would need to compare them, but the other ones would come out in mid-April.
@acethesat20 you don’t need to attend but you do have to submit a $100 deposit which you would lose if you pay then decide not to attend SAMS.
hey everyone, this is my first post. For those who submitted on or around the deadline, did you guys get a decision back yet? Its almost been two weeks since I submitted my application and Im kinda nervous since I haven’t heard anything from them. also, for those who were admitted, do your names appear in the CMU directory on their website?
@jimjung76 My son completed his submission on 1/31, and was accepted on 2/7. He could not see his name on the directory when he checked on 2/12, but he just checked and his name is in the directory now. Here is the directory link. Good luck.
Hi! Do you get a response after emailing them to confirm your waitlist spot? It’s been a week and a half now, and I’ve still gotten no response.
@yeetys I didn’t get a response either.
Is there anyone on here who has been accepted to the AP/EA program at Carnegie Mellon, or any previous alumni? From previous threads and documents online, it seems like an amazing experience, but I want more recent experiences.
