Carnegie Mellon University?

Hello,
I am a sophomore girl in a charter school (in top 5 best national public high schools), and this is just because I am a little worried about my future after completing secondary schools. I really want a serious answer since I know it might motivate me enough to study harder.
I know that I'm still only a sophomore and it's a bit hard to decide on if I can get in or not now, but here are my courses:

Freshman year:

AP US history

I'm just wondering if I keep this up and continue to get better grades from before, showing improvement, will I be accepted? I am strong on math and computer fields and hope to go to Carnegie Mellon if possible to pursue my career in computer engineering. I have been practicing for SAT and so far my scores have jumped from 1400 to 2100. Thank you!!

I also got accepted into GHP 2014 For math, participated in the highest county orchestra for four years, and volunteered each weekend for two hours at the local library.
I lost motivation to study in freshman year and decided to just stop studying, but upon realizing that I have a great opportunity to straighten my path (since my school is a technology school), I decided to work as hard as I can.

I think you have a good chance of getting into CMU with the progression of your grades. Keep up that gpa and you should be good. But good grades are not enough to get into CMU. Start getting leadership roles in clubs you are really interested in because that gives you something to talk about in your essays when applying to college. Do something that makes you stand out. Don’t let junior year or senior year bring your grades down because it does get more difficult. I highly advise when you start applying that if you really want to come here, then apply early decision and no matter when you apply, do an interview!! I can’t say how much this helped me get in. :)

What are your ECs? Where is your intrnship planned?
Keep up your GPA, it is a challenging program that have at your school. CMU wants to see both SAT Math II and Physics for their future CS students, my son had an interview on campus this summer and it was the first thing counselor talked about… start early on tests, take them right after your APs, while everything is fresh…

Good luck!
