Carnegie Mellon's School of CompSci Doesn't Accept Second Year Physics C Students?

So I was going to apply to Carnegie Mellon's School of Computer Science but they require 2 years of Chemistry, Biology, or Computer Science out of High School. I have taken one year of Honors Biology, Honors Chemistry, Honors Physics and AP Computer Science (all of which are the hardest courses offered for first year students in the subject). It seems absolutely absurd to me that since I decided to take AP Physics C for my senior science class that I am unable to apply to Carnegie Mellon's School of Computer Science. In my opinion, AP Physics C is a much tougher class than AP Biology or AP Chemistry and more relevant to the study of computer science. It is widely considered to be the toughest class that my high school offers. Does anyone know if Carnegie Mellon makes any exceptions to the rules? any thoughts or comments on the matter?

…what are you even talking about? Who said you can’t apply just because you took another course?

All they mean is take TWO out of the THREE. You’ve taken THREE, so you are above and beyond. Plus you have Physics C. No problemo.

And even if it was the way you’re thinking about, do you really think they’d penalize you for taking a harder class because you wanted to challenge yourself?

The way I interpreted it is that I must either take 2 years of Chemistry, 2 years of Biology, or 2 years of Computer Science. The website is here [Admission > Academic Requirements](<a href=“Home - Computing Services - Office of the CIO - Carnegie Mellon University”>Home - Computing Services - Office of the CIO - Carnegie Mellon University)

Accepted SCS last year with the same courses as you. You’re misinterpreting it.
