carpet

i was looking at the residence hall carpet's website (rhcarpets.com/neu) and i noticed that the size of the carpet they sell for IV is a 6x9.. i def. know the room's a lot bigger then that.. does anyone know why they sell a 6x9 carpet?

btw does anyone have any experience in ordering a carpet with them?
is it worth getting a carpet?

thanks :)

My former roommate and I decided to get one; it covered areas after the ‘hallway’ of the room. She ordered the carpet. I don’t think it’s really worth it. It was scratchy and it was not true to colour (we got the dark blue so that it wouldn’t get dirty easily, it came out more like a light navy blue) and was a pain to vacuum.

When I switched rooms my new roommate and I got a carpet from Ikea, it was so much better. It was 6x4 only though.

You could do much better (quality & cost) picking up one on your own.

ok! good to know  thanks

I know this question may seem redundant, but I was wondering why many students decide to purchase carpets for their dorm rooms? Is there some practicality in having a carpet, or is it more for decoration purposes?

Well there are tiled floors in IV and it doesn’t feel cozy without a carpet. Also, the floors are really cold in the morning and it’s nice to wake up and not step on ice-cold tiles.
