Cars, anyone?

So I got admitted in Rutgers NB Business. I just sent in my application saying I wanted to go there (considering I'm an IVY reject who just wants to be near my family, this seems to be the best choice compared to Drew, William Paterson, Monclair, etc)
Anyways, I'm EXTREMELY confused about the freshmen policy at NB Rutgers. I havent decided my campus yet, and I'm still deliberating between Douglass and Busch (could use some help). I also heard something about the Discovery Houses at Livingston.
Well, my major problem is....CARS!!! Are cars allowed for first years in Rutgers? And what's this I hear about cars being allowed in the Discovery House dorms. I just need some information, please and thank you! :)

Cars are allowed for freshmen if:

*You work off-campus
*An out-of-state student
*Live on Livingston
*Have 22 (or is it 24?) credits when entering Rutgers <–hahaha, although that could be possible if one was an overachiever or simply took many AP classes.

First off, thanks for replying! =)

Secondly, do I have to meet ALL the criteria, or just one/few? <–My greatest worry.

*I do not work, unfortunately, but I will be getting a job to finance my college life. It need be, I am considering an off campus job in order to bring my car.

*I am an instate student, so no luck here

*I heard that Livingston was the “dead” campus, so I was not planning on dorming there. However, I know the NB Business is located on that campus. Is this taken into account? (I’m betting its not)

*…I have 29 credits! From High school right? Apparently, I’m both an overachiever and too way too many AP classes. -sigh- this is what I get for skipping out on lunch for an extra class all 4 years. Well, as long I can bring my car to school! :D

Thanks for helping me out. If you can answer the other questions, I would greatly appreciate it! :)

[Student Parking permit](<a href=“Parking & Transportation Services | Institutional Planning and Operations”>Parking & Transportation Services | Institutional Planning and Operations)

29 credits?! Wow! You only need to meet one criteria =)

They state under resident permit that you are not allowed to have a car until sophomore year (24 credits or more).

I might just check up on this just in case, but I’m sure that you will be allowed to have a car because of your 29 credits. I guess they don’t expect that many freshmen to enter Rutgers with 24 or more credits.

THANKS!!!
So I was just reading up, and it seems that I have to prove a financial need in order to use my car for employment? Or can I simply be allowed the use of a car because I work, despite the fact I can’t show financial hardships?

As for my credits, thats my total. I have to see how many are transferable…hopefully, it will be over 24. WHY CANT THEY HAVE AP GYM!!! lol XD
