I heard parking @ Rutgers is difficult and was wondering if bringing a car on campus, as an out-of-state student living on campus, would be worth it.

If you dorm at Livingston college, parking will not be a problem. The other campus settings are more difficult in terms of having a car.

I got a ticket today... beware of the parking nazis, they get you every time.

The only campus which allows you to have a car on campus as a Freshman is Livingston. All other campuses reqire you tohave a minimum of 51 college credits before you can apply for on-campus parking. Be aware that with tighter parking regulations at Rutgers taking effect as well as a limitation on spaces per campus, even if you do receive a parking permit it may not allow you to park on the same campus on which you reside.

Guess what... I got that ticket taken off! Yayyy.. just thought everyone should know. I appealed it and by some act of God the nazis took it off.

lol congrats

the first ticket given by ru is usually taken off no questions asked.

There are tons of spots on livingston, yes. From what I understand, out of staters can have cars on campus(w/o needing a certain number of credits).

College ave might be tough, busch a little easier, livingston easiest. Cook/Douglass i have no idea
