CAS Big Brochure ' This is the place.." in mail

yeah I never visited and I just got one too. haha I really doubt it means anything though considering my stats.

anyone who applied to the school of communication get anything?

@@ I didn't get one... Well there was mail from NU in my mail box today... but it was for my dad TT I visted last october.

I got one for Weinberg, but I don't think it's that special

seems like an awful lot are getting the brochure... oh wait except me! darn you international shipping

Yeah, I got one also. It seems to be pretty generic.

I have not got one, that I'm aware of...it could be that I'm so far out of the possibility of acceptance that they refuse even to humor me

In any case, when did you guys receive these?

i got mine yesterday.

ye, I even received mine.... and I pretty much know that I will not get into NW and that my stats are way below average and that i am way too poor to afford it
so ye…. my hypothesis: the brochures are generic and sent to anyone on the mailing list
I was kind of annoyed by it too, receiving it made me realize what perfect place I will be missing out on :( it is not nice to tease people this way :( sobs

^^^^ I know exactly what you mean. It really is cruel to us.

i got mine about 3 weeks ago

yea i got a brochure from education and social policy a few weeks ago. it's pretty... but i seriously doubt it means anything at all

I got a booklet from McCormick last week.

I got a CAS brochure a few weeks ago. My application fee was also waived, but I got the fee waiver code when an admissions rep came to my high school. I thought they did this everywhere, but maybe they gave them to us b/c we're a magnet school....I don't know. I think they give them out because they want more applicants, which means lower acceptance rates. I don't think anyone should read too much into getting their application fee waived. I don't know about the big brochure though...I've gotten a ton of mail and e-mails from NU over the past year and a half. I haven't visited. It seems like they're sending these out to everyone, but it is kind of odd that they would send them out after you applied. I know they want you to consider their school, but why send them to people who aren't getting in? Since I heard they sent likely letters too, I'm not reading too much into it.

NW sent me fee waiver code when I signed up for mailing list...

yeah i got my brochure on the 2nd as well.. not sure what that means...

I applied to Medill, never got brochure.

got a brochure
i was really surprised, too,
like, what? i already applied! the ball's in YOUR court.

I never got anything from McCormick!!!! Did any intels get it ?

waleed, i got one and i honestly don't think it means anything. Believe me it doesn't. Especially since I had my interview like just 2 weeks before. btw, you have my brother's name. except it's spelled "walid"
:)
