its been a while since i last logged on to cc. its great to see that this site is still going strong.

i'm currently a junior at nyu cas, studying physics and neurosci.

congrats to all the ED people who just heard back. nyu is just an amazing school; there is absolutely nothing like it.

(for those who did not get accepted: reapply for transfer! don't let a rejection get you down. nyu is becoming really competitive, as the school is launching itself into a new level)

anyway, i figured i start up a thread for those with any questions.
feel free to ask!

how many classes do students typically take each semester? have you taken any philosophy courses at cas?

thanks for your help!

students usually take 16 credits per semester. it may go up to 20+ or as little as 14 depending on the difficulty of courseload of course.

i have not take any philosophy classes here, though some of my friends are philosophy majors. the graduate department here is really really outstanding, and since its professors teach the undergraduates as well, u’ll definitely be getting a solid deal. from what i hear, classes are challenging, but also stimulating.
