CAS Minors...

Ok so I want to take some classes from CAS this year other than my MAP classes and I wanted them to be semi-productive and go toward a CAS Minor, so what do you any of you know about the difficulty of any of these minors from CAS.

1) Astronomy
2) History
3) Law and Society
4) Psychology
5) Sociology
6) Medieval and Renaissance Studies
7) Philosophy
8) Public Policy
9) Politics

don't pick a major/minor by its difficulty or prestige. pick one because it's something you're interested in. you'll enjoy it more, plus chances are you will do better in it too because it's something that grabs your attention.

i heard the politics major was hard, so id go ahead assume the same for the minor.

NYU's philosophy department is superb, but also pretty difficult.

the_nightboy has it absolutely right: Don't pick based on easiness, which is relative to everyone, anyway. Pick a major/minor based on what you like.

well i like all of them so thats why i was inquiring. My GPA is gonna get murdered in Stern already, so i figured I might as well pick what I like and is relatively easy at NYU so I can try to balance some of the harder classes.

There really is no "easy" minor, especially out of that bunch... it'll depend on the classes you take and the professors you end up with. In general, you can probably expect a LOT of reading.
