SAT I: 670 Verbal; 750 Math
SAT II: Math IIC 800 Writing: 730 Chem 720 Math 1C 720

EC's:
-Soccer 4yrs (both club team and school) - co-captain of one
-Intramural soccer 3yrs
-Track 3yrs
-Math team 4yrs
-A few other clubs (co-president of one)

I think you have a good chance considering your SAT ii's. But, the fact is that unfortunately the GPA is a bit on the low side (although that doesn't mean you'll be denied). The SAT is okay, I guess, but if you could retake it and get above 700 for verbal, you'd be a even more solid candidate.

Just my two cents of advice. So, you don't have to take it as the definitive anwer. Good luck with NYU.

NY residency doesn't help you at all as NYU is not a state school, but rather a private school (if anything it may hurt due to the pursuit of geographic diversity).

Unrealfire is correct...do not take the essays and recs lightly, they are taken very seriously in NYU's admission process (I used to work in the admissions dept. there). NYU doesn't do interview, and the reccs. and essays are a way for admissions to really get a glimpse into you as a person...so if possible, try to improve these things.

Thanks for feedbacks.. Actually, I took a lot of time writing my essays and revising them since I'm aware of their significance; I think my essays are actually good/great (I got positive feedback by my counselor, teachers, and friends). However, since these are self-evaluated, I thought these might be evaluated by the admin as not as good as I think. That's why I put them as "OK" Same for the recs. I personally expect them to be good but since I've never read them I wrote "OK"
