<p>Is it possible to apply to CAS as well as Stern? I am very interested in the international relations program in CAS, but I am also very interested in the BPE program in Stern. Could I be considered for one school, and if I'm rejected then I can be considered for an alternate school?</p>
<p>Also, how much more competitive is Stern, especially for the BPE program, than CAS?</p>

<p>Stern is exceptionally more competitive. It’s great that you’re interested in both IR and business; you seem well-rounded! You might want to even consider Gallatin where you can merge those two fields into one customized major. That being said, admission to Gall is also very difficult if not as difficult as Stern (for different reasons). If you apply to Stern and get rejected, unfortunately you cannot be considered for CAS or any other school at NYU. If you apply to CAS or Gallatin and the admissions counselors find that you may be a better fit at another school, they may grant you admission to LSP. </p>
