I was accepted for BME at BU and Case Western, and both gave me similar financial packages so the cost difference is negligible. I will also be on a pre-med track. I know both schools have some great hospitals located nearby for volunteering and research and good BME programs altogether, but I was wondering how the engineering/premed programs are comparable between the two schools and are research opportunities (necessary for med school) easier to get at either of the colleges?

I can’t speak much for BU as I don’t know much about the program.

However, for Case, we’re the only top-level research university in the area (unlike Boston) so students have essentially exclusive access to all the research institutions including the med school and the Cleveland Clinic. It’s pretty easy to get a research/volunteering position at Case.
