Hey everybody,

I'm new here and I'd really appreciate your advice. I've been accepted into Case with a President's scholarship. I've also gotten into UCLA (out of state), but with no scholarships. I want to go into pre-med. What do you all suggest?

It really depends on how it all feels.

Public? Private?
Big school? Medium sized/smaller school?
Div. 1 Athletics? Div. 3 Athletics?
One season? Four seasons?
Is cost a factor?

Both have good premed programs, though premed is not a major, what major would you choose, and how do those programs rank?
Have you visited both?
talked to students at both??

I know it might seem stressful, but weighing EVERYTHING is helpful.

I agree, definitely considering everything is helpful. I would really stress talking to students from both schools--not necessarily even when you're on campus. Campus visits are not always great indicators of what a school is really like. Look up the student organizations you might be interested in joining. Call/email the presidents of the groups--they will probably be more than happy to talk to you. Or look up groups on facebook, post on the wall, see what happens, I actually got some good info/advice that way. Email a prof.
Oh, and if cost is a factor, so you do decide to go to Case, you won't be alone. Many students come because of the great merit aid.
Another thing...does weather bother you? Personally I don't mind cold too much but...Anyhow, good luck, and try not to stress too much. I decided April 30 and was worried all summer I could have made the wrong choice. Turns out my choice was a lot better than I ever thought it could be. :)
