Reflection

Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Not sure. Uninteresting common app essay? Too much financial need? Too few ECs?

@Neurotic2027 They may be wary of whether you’ll actually go there because of your high stats. Feels like colleges are more concerned about yield than they used to be.

Reflection

Strengths: stats, gpa, ec
Weaknesses: Didn’t show interest at all
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Because I didn’t show any interest.
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Deferred Dartmouth ED

General Comments: Even though I didn’t show any interest, I thought I would’ve gotten in purely base on my stats and my EC’s. Also, I don’t understand why Case underestimates that people with high stats will not attend. Even though I applied EA, Case has been on the top of my list for a while, and I would’ve most definitely attended if I got accepted…

Oh shoot. Regarding my last post, I got deferred.

@anxiousNot Sounds like you got yield protected. You seem like a great student. No worries, other good schools are definitely going to accept you!

@cforms
Case has single door admission…so you don’t have to "get into the engineering school " or business school or anything. Once you are in, you are in what ever major you would like. Although if you want nursing make sure to tell them.

Hi does anyone know if merit awards go higher than 30k and how likely is it that Case would increase merit if you contact admissions. Top choice but price tag just crazy. Thanks

@azleah if you want to be a CPA, you have to do more than 4 year of college…so maybe they have a program where you can do the 5th as a Masters

@Moe1352 Freshman dorms are like typical freshman dorms anywhere.

You can see the layouts of the dorms here…https://students.case.edu/housing/facilities/tour/
look for North Residential Village

I thought I saw someone who had a little bit more than 30K…i have never seen any merit above 40K (although there are competitive scholarships). Case is right up there with other private Universities

Accepted OOS
29 act w/ 3.9 gpa
I interviewed w/ Chicago’s admissions rep
$25,000 scholarship

To user bopper above, I can confirm that others have gotten $30k+ in scholarship, as my friend got $32,500 in scholarships
