Case Western Reserve Financial Aid Opinion

Hello. I was recently admitted into Case Western Reserve University and wanted to get an idea of financial aid. I have already received the University Scholarship of $23,500/year. With this scholarship, would the rest of my tuition be covered by the grants CWRU usually rewards? If anyone has received their financial aid package, can you give me your opinion on whether the aid is good or not? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Contact the financial aid office and ask them. http://financialaid.case.edu/aboutus/

Hi. I received an offer for $25,500 merit at Case Western, which I thought was awesome. Then I received the rest of the financial aid package, which was not awesome. They want our family to pay over twice our EFC and I would have to come up with about 20k a year… This school is my absolute favorite, but I probably can’t go because the financial aid is so bad. Best of luck to you, though! Hopefully they can find you some more money, but I wouldn’t count on it too much.

@kwick1 Thank you for your input. I read somewhere that most of Case Western Reserve’s aid comes through scholarships and it said not to expect anything much from grants and other resources. When I contacted the Office of Financial Aid, they simply said that they do not meed 100% demonstrated need, which seems like they wanted to avoid answering the hard question of how good their financial aid packages are.
