Waitlisted with 34 ACT and 2300 SAT. Didn’t think I was too overqualified or consider this a mere safety school, but congrats to everyone who got accepted!
Originally deferred, accepted today with a $25.5k scholarship! I really didn’t think I was getting in. 2120 SAT (780 math), 3.9/4.1 GPA at a small, highly competitive private school. I showed a ton of interest, and I think that really helped me. To those not accepted, been there, and it blows, but it doesn’t define you or any of your achievements- and you’ll end up somewhere great no matter what.

Did anyone apply for the scholarships for which we had to apply separately and write an essay? I applied for the Milton and Roslyn award where i wrote about leadership and i was wondering if anyone knew when they might announce that

Did anyone get into better schools, such as ivy leagues, but get waitlisted from case??
I was deferred early action and just waitlisted. 32 ACT, top 4% of class, lots of leadership and extracurriculars… My cousin, who graduated hs in 14’, got a 30ACT and was only top 10% of class and had less extracurriculars but got in with a 25k scholarship…
I was waitlisted I have a 31 ACT and 4.13 GPA. I have a lot of leadership and activities that have to do with my major which is Nutrition Science. According to naviance and my college advisor I was guaranteed to get it. My interview person was so bad though, I am kind of glad I was waitlisted. She basically told me the only reason she went to Case was because she got married and her husband was there as a med student. I have been on many other college interviews but this one was definitely the weirdest.
I’m rather confused haha, I just got waitlisted… Number One in my graduating class of 700, 35 ACT 4.6 GPA, World Ballet Competition Finalist, and I toiled so much on my essays.

@52balletvieta Ya idk it’s just confusing to me. A lot of ppl from my school apply and one year a girl with a 27 ACT got in EA… I feel as though they’re not very consistent in the type of people they admit
My Daughter is waitlisted…ACT 35, National Merit Finalist, 4th rank out of 555, more than 6 months Research with a world renowned cancer center, DECA Nationals, Many 5’s in AP, more than 2000 hours of service, many officer positions in school clubs, state debate twice…lol its ok she go into UT Plan 2 and UT Dean’ scholar. Something big in pocket. 2 waitlisted out of 10 other schools now. 8 more to go. No stress guys, you all will do well even if you go to any reasonably good school. In life has many things to do and beyond schools. If you did not make it I am sure you will be disappointed but trust me, you will get over with that. Be positive in life and every thing will be fine…
Just curious, anyone who was rejected from PPSP got accepted in RD round? Someone told me that we were waitlisted because we applied to PPSP. We were informed about our rejection on 1/30 and the link to continue for the RD round came on 02/16. I infact did it on 02/20, I thought I was late for 20 days but it was only 4 days. I just think this info might benefit the next year PPSP applicants.
I think they are waitlisting people that are overqualified because they believe this our safety school. They do that at Tulane too.

@PigletYorkie I didn’t get accepted for PPSP but got accepted today (35 ACT/4.55 GPA/National Merit Finalist/lots of ECs/volunteer)!
my friend got waitlisted too, he got 35 on ACT and submitted the application on Dec.25.
At the bottom of his decision letter (I think it’s an editing error) is this:

Supposedly Case waitlists individuals they think are overqualified because they assume the individuals will get into better schools; however, is anyone in the situation where they didn’t apply to the “better schools”?
