Case Western Reserve University

Case is the best academic school i got into, but I am concerned about the reputation it has socially. I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on the quality of life and amoutn of fun to be had at Case...I am very confused about this school, although I am going to visit soon.

Anyone? I really need some help here...

I am currently attending case as a freshman and I remember hearing that as well when I was looking at colleges. I don't know what the fuss was about its just like any other college campus and the setting is urban so theres alot more to do than in smalltown college locations, like Lehigh or Dartmouth. I wouldnt worry about it.

Basically, what I am worried about is that it will be hard to get any mixed gender things going, due to the 60-40 ratio, and that there will be a lack of parties and drinknig and such on campus. I'm not a huge partier or drinker, but on saturday night it should always be an option...is it/

I don't think there is a 40-60 ratio anymore its more like 45-55, nothing you would notice. There are probably not as many parties as on the average campus, but there def are every weekend (as far as I know, possibly more during the week). Every saturday night there are some ppl who come back drunk to their dorms on my floor, so ya there is that...

Are you majoring in engineering?

Business...why?

Basically it comes down ot I have to choose between Case and UCSB...any opinions?

Check out this thread I started a while ago:

i had a sort of similar question to yours, only i'm not at all a drinker
idk it might help you a bit

No reason at all...lol

If you're in state for UCSB I would do that, but hey thats just me. In my opinion UCSB would have more of a social scene but thats just a guess I've never been there or known anyone from there...
