Catholic boarding schools?

I know most religious boarding schools are Episcopal, but are there any Catholic boarding schools in the northeast? My mom has been pressuring me to recieve a "quality Catholic education", and she really wants me to go to Register Now for 2010-11 | St Bernard Prep, which is NOT an option. Are there any Catholic schools that have really good academics?

EDIT: I meant in the northeast!! Sorry, I don't know why I said that...

You won’t find much in the northwest. Does it need to be restricted to that area?

I would rather it be, but not necessarily.

There’s Portsmouth Abbey, but it’s in Rhode Island.

Take a look at Canterbury School in CT. I’ve read on this board that Portsmouth Abbey has a merit scholarship, so you might look into that as well.

Do an advanced search on boardingschoolreview. You can create a list of schools with religious affiliations, including Catholic.

The best-known Catholic school with boarding is probably Georgetown Prep, but their % boarding is not that high. It might get lonely on weekends, but you would be in Georgetown.

check out cbsa.org for a list of Catholic boarding schools. I’d say Portsmouth Abby and Canterbury are the closest to what you are looking for.
