CB Messed up this math question?

<p>A certain physical fitness test lasts a total of 3 hours. Each part of the test requires the same amount of time, and 12 minute breaks are included between consecutive parts. If there are a total of 3 breaks during the 3 hours, what is the required time in minutes, for each part of the test?</p>

<p>B) 36
E) 48</p>

<p>I typed the problem verbatim. </p>

<p>Now, what I couldn't figure out, was if it was</p>

<p><work out=""> break <work out=""> break <work out=""> break
or
<work out=""> break <work out=""> break <work out=""> break <work out=""></work></work></work></work></work></work></work></p>

<p>the problem didn't seem to make any specifications, so either B or E could be correct. is this a mistake by CB? (released exam btw)</p>

<p>I got 36</p>

<p>i.e.</p>

<p>Work -break- work -break- work -break- work</p>

<p>Just use some common sense, why would you end your workout on a break?</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>breaks are included between consecutive parts …</p>

<p>^xiggi, thank you for making me realize i am dyslexic. but really though, thanks!</p>
