How hard are classes at any community college? I've taken about 5 AP classes, so I have an idea of the difficulty of a college course. But are community college classes just as hard as AP classes in high school, or a bit easier? For instance, would a course at a Los Angeles community college be just as hard at CSU Los Angeles? Or easier?

From what I've heard, community colleges are generally easier than other colleges. Are you doing well in your AP classes? If you're getting As and Bs then I think you'd be better off in a more difficult, state or private college.

Most people go to community colleges if they don't get into the college of their choice, do really well @ the college and transfer to a more academically challenging school.

I was incredibly bored in the community college classes I took over the summer. I ended up getting a B in one of the classes just because I was so bored that I'd leave during the break and not come back or just not go and go over to my boyfriend's house instead and hang out.

For me, college>AP classes>community college classes in terms of difficulty. But, it varies school to school and class to class. This is just what I found in general.

It definately varies from class to class. The community college classes i took were easier than some AP, but harder than others. Rigor also heavily depends on the professor that teaches the class.

i agree with the person before that said it depends on the professor. at my CC i've had some classes where attendance wasn't required....you just had to show up for the tests which were lifted right out of the book....but i've also had several classes where i've had to write a 15pg research paper with 5pg papers due weekly....it really depends on the professor...
