Does anyone living in New York take courses at a Community College? If so, which college? I spoke to someone from Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn and she said that they do not allow high school students to take classes? It doesn't even have to be a community college, but I want to take some classes.

Do college now. Basically, you're allowed to take one course each term (fall, spring, summer) in a CUNY school starting in your junior year. At first, you'll only be allowed to take 100-level courses with other high school students. Then, you can get higher level courses if they're available. Best of all, it's free.

I would definitely take College Now, but it would affect my schedule. Basically, I wouldn't be able to take a first period class. This is why I am curious to know if there is are any CCs that accept high school students in NYC. Anybody?

My school Townsend Harris is on a CUNY college campus (Queens College) so we are always offered CollegeNow. its after school twice a week, usually from 3:15 to 4:45
last year i took Math From an Algorithmic standpoint using Mathematica. this spring i might take a Calculus class using Mathematica (i would be the only one though, no one else in my school qualifies).
at queens college they also offer (from what i remember), philosophy, psychology, sociology, & drama. and they recently added astronomy, dinosaurs (***? lol its a class called "Dinosaurs"), and something else i forgot
