CC, I need your help. 2260-->Perfect. Advice?

I've read all of the big posts on here about the SAT, and I've read many of the prep books. While they have improved my score, I still don't know how to stop myself from missing 2-3 questions each section, even when I am meticulous about my actions. I took a 5-hour energy shot to help me focus on my last one, and man, it definitely helped. Still, a 2260 needs improvement.

Thus I ask CC, in it's infinite college-related wisdom, to direct my studies to the right path for the next month to prepare for the January SAT. I want to know what I should focus on to help bump it up. My subscores are 750CR, 750M, and 760W (74, 10E), so the imperfection is spread throughout. In your honest opinion, what should I do next?

From some of the other posts, I learned that taking and looking over practice tests helps a lot, so I'll put that on my list. Aside from that, do you know of any comprehensive book/post/website that has all the info you need to know for each section? The prep books I have read always leave out material that is tested. I haven't found anything comprehensive yet. Also, what do you recommend I do on a section-by-section basis? I'm fairly certain that I only missed 2 on the math to get a 750. If there's a list of math tricks/problems that covers them all, I'm sure it can become an 800. I probably forgot some grammar rules for writing, and maybe some vocab words for reading. Maybe I interpreted a passage incorrectly on reading. Any advice you can give is welcome. :)

You’re really balanced in all 3 sections, which can be a good thing. Those scores do indicate that you understand basically everything that the SAT tests. On a good day, I think you could score above a 2300.

Thanks. Let’s just hope Jan 23rd is a good day then.

Hmm…I haven’t read Direct Hits or Rocket Review yet, and since they seem to be the CC fav, should I order them and begin to read? And/or should I just go through the BlueBook (which I haven’t looked at either)? Oh, and are there any sources that list the hardest math/writing questions asked in the SAT?

You really need to chill out. A balanced 2260 is an amazing grade; I only got an unbalanaced 2250 (CR 780, M 700, W 770) the first time I took it, and that was after a few months of taking weekly practice tests. I just kept doing practice tests, looked at my mistakes, and focused heavily on the math section. I don’t know if it worked since the second time I took it, I got an even less balanced 2310 (CR 800, M 710, W 800)! At any rate, you should be able to get over 2300.
