Lansing is a middle ground if it’s not too far for the NW Ohio people. We have plenty of time to figure those things out

Have a good friend in the Toledo area who I visit periodically, so am accustomed to the drive. October works for me (we’ll be overseas for a good bit of September, and then High Holidays).

Bumping up…because. 
If anyone wants to suggest or rule out any meet up dates, feel free. I still work but would take a day off if it worked out to meet up. My sister sometimes visits in October but no telling when that will be. And I could still get away for a day/half a day.
I’d likely be able to do a Sunday in the general Southeast MI area (say, Lansing, Toledo, Detroit, Ann Arbor…) It would avoid Saturday game day issues, too. If Ann Arbor is chosen and there is interest in walking, I know the trails along the river pretty well. OTOH, if there is interest in dropping loads of cash, there’s always Somerset Collection in Troy…
I’m fairly flexible. You may need to just set a place and time, knowing not everyone can make it.
I’m very flexible. If I know enough in advance, I can arrange my every-couple-months visit to see MIL to make sure it doesn’t conflict. I will defer to those who work in terms of date & time. If anyone would be traveling in for it, throw out some possible dates. If anyone has “no-go” dates, please share those.
I know that we have interest from people in various parts of the state. Lansing area has been suggested as a possible location, but other areas could work. I think it might be wise to stay west of I-75 due to the ongoing construction through the metro Detroit area.
I can be flexible, weekend probably easiest because I still work. I’m willing to drive to Lansing or the east side.
Bumping this up again. I really don’t need to be the organizer so if someone wants to do that, FEEL FREE. However I also will keep things going for now…!
I thought I’d start a PM thread soon - but bumping this up now for any additional names who might be interested to add to the list above. Still thinking October. Lansing area might work for most. That would be a 2 hour drive for me/Toledo - probably the most “southern” people currently in the group. But I’m flexible.
Feel free to add names in. After this week life slows down a little bit so we can zero in on some potential dates.

We’ll be driving/visiting between Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor, and Dearborn late October. Driving up to Lansing is not a problem for us, just not sure yet of the week we’ll be there. If the meetup date works, we’ll be there.

Lansing works best for me. It’s also a 2 hour drive. From the opposite direction

Lansing is an hour & 15 minutes for me. I go there often, because S lives in that neck of the woods. (Unfortunately, no destination recommendations because we usually just get Thai carry out from a place near him.)

East towne center has a Bravo and a Mitchell’s Fish Market and a PF Chang’s.
We’ve dined at all 3. Mitchell’s is pricier but is not crowded at lunch and quiet.
It’s right off 127. Pretty easy to get to as far as Lansing goes.

I’m 90 minutes from East Lansing. Count me in, October pretty much open.

Looked this up - great suggestion of a spot to meet - any of the restaurants! Our best friends live in DeWitt so I can spend some time with them too!
