<p>Like credit cards and easy loans, colleges try to make it easier to apply. One would predict a plethora of apps per applicant.</p>
<p>coleges probably hire, from the hefty tuitions, marketing firms whose major mission is to increase customers, I mean apps.</p>
<p>Like...10..ish. After getting rejected from my dream school (it was an impossible school, haha), I freaked out and ended up applying to several 'safety' schools. In the end, I was accepted into all of my safety schools, and 2/2 of the kinda/maybe get accepted schools.</p>
<p>11 in total! I had a list of about thirteen but was too stressed/tired to apply to the last two.</p>
<p>I applied to 9. I originally only applied to 4. But then I got an app waiver to a school I was moderately interested in so I applied there. Then my parents told me they wanted me to apply to the local CC, just in case. I play lacrosse, and was being recruited by a number of schools for a while, but finally applied to three schools for lacrosse, making it 9.</p>
