<p>My sister goes to UIC and she isn't getting good grades as she did in High-School. She used to be a top 3% in a large high school but she hardly gets B in her science classes. She says there is too much people in every classrooms and professors barely teaches. Only gives problems sets, I guess!
Professors are from top notch schools like harvard and stanford, but the main problems is that many of them don't speak English very well.</p>
<p>Are you kidding me? I go to UIC. The professors don't come from Harvard or Stanford BUT most of them speak English quite well. The classes are easy because the competition isn't as rough as high school. Students here typically come here because they didn't get into Urbana or because they're poor. Its an okay school and its a good place to be a big fish in a small pond if thats what you're looking for. I'm happy to be a big fish with a 4.0 GPA.</p>
<p>Well, I guess then my sister is just so unlucky person since both of her chem and cal professors rarely talk in class. I don't know for sure if the profs. are from Harvard and Stan., but some are... And I don't know about the competiton, maybe it depends on which major you are in. My sister is pre-pharm. Everyone says competition is intense which I agree.</p>
<p>My cousin is in GPPA pharm and I'm in GPPA dent. It got a lot better and most of the professors speak english. I have yet to meet a prof from harvard or stanford or any ivy league. The competition is not too bad since the professors expect less of everyone else in the class anyways.</p>
