Due to a problem with our database, we had to revert to an older database. We had to go back a couple of days to get to a point where the problem didn’t exist.
Hence, your posts in the last few days are gone. If you are a new member and can’t log in, your registration may have processed during the blackout period - you’ll have to reregister.

Yeah. All thread,posts,private messages made/sent during that time are kaput.
VERY dissapointed. Surprised that you don’t do daily backups/archives. I work in IT, and it is a must (for this very reason). I “assumed” that what was posted, would be there for me to look at in the future. There were some excellent, detailed postings about Laptops and Desktops ( a major purchase that we are getting ready to make).
In the future, you should put a disclaimer that postings are not guranteed to be there in the future.
Had i known that they would have dissapeared, then i would have printed them. I realize that you are not pleased with the problems either, and feel bad about the missing data. However, I am not pleased that there was not some disclaimer.

also they did have backups for till the 18th…
till then all data was intact… Even if it had been a Daily stuff , it wud have still caused loss of data posted on the day…which wud again be seen against…
Sometimes unpredictable does happen for the probabilility of it to happen is not zero…

We do have daily backups, but the corruption that caused the problem affected a couple of them, too.
We are in the process of transitioning to a more robust backup scheme that will prevent a repeat.
We know how much effort our members put into their posts, and we would not have lost those days if there had been a better alternative.
