Hey everyone,

I go to a community college and looking to transfer. I understand a lot of colleges want to look at your high school GPA and SAT score. As a freshmen in community college, do I have the opportunity to retake the SAT and improve my score and send that instead of my high school GPA?

Generally not since it was developed with HSers in mind. Check with the 4 year college to see if they will consider a score from this year. It certainly won’t be used instead of your HS GPA if that is required for transfers.
