So, in conclusion, I messed up… my entire two years at a community college I was following assist.org which wasn’t updated until recently when I was already admitted and committed to UCR and it turns out I still have 4 lower-division courses that I need to take and could have taken at my community college for a lot cheaper. I’m scared that because of it, I will be behind at UCR since im not taking any upper divisions as a junior. I know its normal to take 1-2 lower divs as a junior but I have more than that. Would it be stupid of me to take a quarter off of UCR (leave of absence) after my first quarter there, spend one semester back at my community college and take all of those lower divs, and then readmit to UCR?? thoughts on this ? i have a friend who went to UCR who took a quarter off solely because she felt like it and she’s back and enrolled
Contact UCR directly and make sure it is possible. Rules and circumstances do change so just make sure that you can defer/take a leave of absence.
it sounds like UCR is fine with your courses and GPA so far. Since you are admitted, just take the class atUCR
I believe you can get permission to take them in summer. I wouldn’t go back for a regular term. There are also online CCC options. Talk to your advisor at UCR.
