Has anybody transferred from community college to a mid-tier or above average university after just 1 quarter or semester? I know most of the colleges and universities recommend 2 years of cc and entering university in junior standing but is it possible to get accepted with just 1 quarter semester of cc? Thanks for any advice!

Very, very, very unlikely unless you have some really strange circumstance. Like, let's say you were accepted to numerous schools straight out of highschool and had to take a quarter at a cc for some really strange reason.

Why not just finish a year?

Well, technically I would be attending a year. Its just that college starts in fall and transfer deadlines are in feburary so I meant applying with just 1 quarter of credits and continuing college while awaiting the decision so if I do get admitted, that would be 1 year of college isn't it? I have above average high school grades for the university I'm looking at and I think I'd have qualified if I had applied straight out of high school but well, I didn't apply for some reason so nobody has ever heard of anyone transferring out successfully with 1 quarter of credits? Anyone at all?
