I’m currently a freshman at CSUSB, but I want to transfer eventually. The campus is okay, but I’m not a big fan. I’d like to go to a UC or a private, but I read somewhere that it’s really tough to transfer from a CSU to a UC. So my question is should I do my sophomore year at a CCC? I’m also considering CCC because it’s closer to my home than San Bern. I don’t know what I want to major in, but I’m leaning towards Econ and if I stick with it I’m aiming for Berkeley. Right now I have 28 units and I should have a 3.6 by the end of this quarter.
CCC’s have transfer admission guarantees (TAG) with many of the UC campuses. There are requirements such as GPA, courses to be completed depending on your major and a certain amount of units required to be eligible. If you are selected and can keep your contract, you are guaranteed admission into the campus you chose.
Side note: You can only TAG to one UC campus.
I’m confused by ^ post. They say “many of the UC campuses” and then say “You can only tag to one UC campus”
You can do a TAG program with 6

@philbegas Good point. You are correct that six of the UC campuses acknowledge the TAG however, you may only submit a TAG for one UC of the six campuses. So you have the option of six but you can only choose one. Hope that clarifies things.
Haha yes upon re-reading that I realize that it just completely went over my head
