CCers, I need some advice about my senior schedule

I know there are probably plenty of topics like this but I need some help soon. My school's stupid and decided to not allow students to get their schedules until today (even though registration was a week ago) and school starts on Wednesday.

Here's my schedule right now.

1st:AP Government
2nd:Architecture
3rd:English 4
4th:AP Physics
5th:AP Economics
6th:Open Period

The problem is that AP Physics and AP Economics are both only fourth and fifth period respectively. The sixth class that I want to take (our school only has 6 periods) is also only fourth or fifth period. I want to take CADD 2 (Computer Aided Drafting and Design 2/3D Animation) since it's the fourth year of drafting which I've taken as a freshman. I'm very interested in that class.

So here are my options:

1.) Drop AP Physics, take regular Physics 3rd Period, take CADD 2 fourth period, take English 4 6th period.
2.)Not take CADD 2 and take some joke class for sixth period
3.)Drop AP Economics, take CADD2 fifth period, take regular Econ (one semester class) sixth period for one semester and take a joke semester class for the other semester.

Right now, I'm leaning towards option 1. It works out the best for me because I'm interested in Physics and CADD 2 and I don't have to take a joke class that I'm not interested in. The problem is that I'm wondering if it would look bad only having 2 AP classes my senior year (I'm hoping for schools like UCLA or Berkeley)

I agree with you about option 1. Just simply tell them somewhere in your application or interview about the scheduling problem and they’d understand.

Another option is to drop AP Physics, take AP Statistics 3rd period, take CADD 2 4th period, take English 6th period.

The problem is that I have very little interest in Statistics and the teacher requires you to spend way too much time outside of school on his class.

I agree with option 1 as well. If you’re not interested in Statistics and it would be a lot of work, I wouldn’t take it just to have an AP class, especially when there are other things you seem to be more interested in. And like tmanneopne said, I would just explain on your applications about the scheduling conflict.

Last year I took 4 AP classes and aced all of them. Would taking only 2 make it look like I’m not working as hard as I can and I’m just trying to take the year off?

Can’t you take AP English if you want another AP?

School starts tomorrow and I haven’t done the summer work for AP English. And I hate English.
