I did a search but couldn't find a thread on this:

of the big3 carriers (ATT, Verizon, Tmobile) is it safe to assume they all have good cell phone coverage on/near campus? Is there a particularly bad or good one?

for some reason verizon has really bad reception at the dorms. i get full bars at the UV though. if you don’t know what that is, it’s a plaza of food and a small movie theater about 10-15 minutes away from campus (walking).

i think verizon is good everywhere except for the dorms. i mean the dorms don’t matter after your first year anyway. it’s not so bad to the point where you can’t receive calls.

i can’t comment on other carriers… i don’t seem to hear many compplaints from att or tmobile though?

AT&T has the best reception on campus. I can attest to that because I always got full bars no matter where I was in Riverside or on campus. Verizon has crappy reception, people are always complaining about it.

lol from my experience (with vzw), even if i had like one or two bars, i could still hear the person i’m talking to very clearly. (:

but yeah, it probably i would say ATT has best reception all around (at least in Riverside anyway).

Thanks
