cell phone coverage

when I visited, my sprint phone would not stop going in and out of 'roam'. my mother/father's cingular phone was struggling even worse.

maybe this was a fluke?

Go with Verizon.

T-mobile gets very spotty service through VA and the Carolinas. There are a few "dead zones" with Verizon, but you should be fine.

66472; My d has cingular. There are a couple of dead spots on grounds. (It didn't work in a couple of old dorms.)

If it wasn't working, we would send text messages, and she would call me back from a different location.

Thanks redbeard, and yes, I was referring to the use of our alltel wireless computer service, including existing e-mail accounts. D had hoped not to change her address for all purposes but that seems to be the protocol. Thanks for the advice. For the phone, she'll be Verizon. Hope it works!
