Cell Phone Service

I was wondering what service is good at UF? I only ask because I remember a year or two back, my friend was asking me this question at my old school and my service provider was kinda crappy there. I use T-mobile currently, but plan on getting a new cell phone pretty soon.

I have Sprint and have not had problems there...

Sprint - Nationwide Coverage has a nice interactive map with differnet layers

other than that I don't know...there are a lot of things that go into getting good reception so it may not always just be the provider not having adequate towers.

Our son has been using ATT/Cingular/ATT for three years. We just had the opportunity to choose a different provider (we were out of contract with ATT) and he said go ahead with ATT. It's the only phone he's ever had at college (no land lines) and we have had no communication problems.

I can vouch for t-mobile having good coverage in Gainesville.

I loved my Verizon service, but I know their plans can be expensive for some.

I have t-mobile and I haven't had any problems! :)

T-Mobile, (wo)man. Works great around here.

I have T-Mobile too! Um....I remember reading posts about how cingular has crappy reception in gville but my friends had cingular and I think they received reception just fine.
