does anyone know if verizon or at&t works better on campus?

My daughter was told at an honors weekend that both Verizon and AT&T work fine. On previous threads some felt Verizon performed better.

There have been lots of posts on this. My s says if you have a choice, pick Verizon. He has AT&T and they lost service (voice and text)frequently during Mardi Gras. Made it very hard to meet up with people.

i have verizon right now but my mom said shed get me a blackberry if i switch to at&t (they give teachers more dicounts)
i love verizon though so i figured id check how at&t is on campus, ive heard some places its bad… i need to decide if switching is worth it basically lol

Verizon has the best service, and they do offer Blackberry phones. Maybe you meant an iPhone? Rumor has it that iPhone might be available through other providers by fall, not sure where that stands. There is a Blackberry touchscreen, the Storm. I like it, but it probably is not as cool as the iPhone.

I just graduated and I never had any problems with my Verizon service while I was at Tulane. Also, I don’t remember any of my friends having any issues with their respective carriers either.

no, i did mean the blackberry. my mom just gets teacher discounts with at&t so she said if i want a blackberry we’d have to switch services. which is why im so torn…i love verizon!

i’ve got verizon and it seems to work better than my friends with att

My daughter and several friends have AT&T service and do not have any problems. It looks like either Verizon or AT&T would be a good choice.

verizon has worked consistently better (knowledge from my friends) while at&t was awful after the storm, then got okay, then got better (personal knowledge). i graduated in 09 and by then at&t was fine, although would still malfunction more than verizon. i stayed another year in nola and for the first time last mardi gras my phone worked the entire time (maybe because i had an iphone this time?). either way all should be fine. just don’t get t-mobile, it sucks there.
