So at the moment I have Cricket Wireless as my cellphone carrier and I know Cricket is owned by AT&T. Will I get good coverage on campus? (I’ll be living on North Campus=Balch)
If your Cricket plan is month-to-month, get to Ithaca and see how it is. Verizon is the only one that gets coverage in the senior lounge in Olin Hall, so it varies from one place to another on campus.
Thank you for responding!
I have AT&T and the only times I lose service while on campus is when I go into the basement of a building.
I even get 2-3 bars of service in the rural areas immediately surrounding Cornell.
My kids had ATT while at Cornell. They had good coverage.
Anybody have experience with T-Mobile on campus and in Ithaca?
@esterling I’ve heard from a lot of people that T-Mobile has bad coverage on campus
When my kids were there, T-Mobile didn’t have good coverage and that’s why I switched to ATT.
T-Mobile coverage is poor on campus; we switched to Verizon, which has been good.
My daughter has AT&T and no complain from her. Also wifi is everywhere on campus so you can enable wifi calling.
