What's this college's reputation? I hadn't heard of it until recently. It sounds quite small.

You'll probably get more information asking about Centre on the parents' forum. Last year several parents' kids applied to Centre.

I toured Centre with my daughter three years ago. It it a very pretty campus in rural Kentucky. It is small, but there is a lot to like about it. The Norton Center attracts quite a few national performing acts, there is a brand new student center, another student center is in a renovated warehouse (very nice looking space), the classes are small and the professors engaging, there is an excellent glassblowing studio, and so on. They guarantee study abroad and internship opportunities. Centre is a hidden gem, and worth checking out.

It's been featured in Loren Pope's Colleges that Change Lives.

I have a son who is a senior at Centre right now. It has been a wonderful experience for him. It is indeed a very small school but has a great reputation that is well deserved. It is a school where it is very difficult to fall between the cracks. My son laughingly relayed the story of how when a student was sleeping in and cutting a class the professor took the entire class over to the student's dorm and had them knocking on the door to get the kid out of bed! I doubt that sleeping in will be an option for him any time in the near future!
Seriously, depending on what you are looking for in a college, Centre could be a great choice!
