CFA questions

Just wanted to share - my son received his LOA in September. He received a phone call from our Congressman's Aide today letting us know that he will be receiving the nomination. Whew!

Son completed his CFA last week, but the results still haven't shown up on USMA candidate portal (PE Instructor said that he submitted the results online immediately following the test). The Candidate portal still says results are pending. Son emailed his contact at WP today but hasn't yet received a response. Should he try to call? Does it take a while for the results to show up on the portal and 'turn green'?

According to the LOA letter, my son only has until 11/16/08 to submit the CFA results or the letter will be withdrawn - we're starting to get a little worried! I wish he had completed the CFA before last week, but the PE instructor was quite busy with coaching duties and had asked son to put it off until football season was complete.

Call your admissions officer and ask to verify receipt of the results. Better yet, have your son call.

mom43boyz - don't worry about the date. your son will be fine.
Just have him call admissions. Don't forget Tuesday was a holiday and they have tons of paperwork (even electronic) coming in.

Don't be surprised if the nomination takes a little while to show up - could take a few weeks depending on how quickly his MOC's office submits the names. They have to all be submitted together.

Oh and Congratulations! Welcome to the class of 2013!

Thanks for the advice! Son will call admissions tomorrow to verify receipt of the CFA.

Thanks also for the welcome - we're really excited! Not being a military family (to this point!) this is all very new to us, but son (and Mom and Dad) realize how special this is!

Congrats to your son! There are many non-military families here, and somehow we all figure this out...it's a wild ride; hold on tight!!
