Has anybody seen the show on MTV called, "If you really knew me?" I thought that it would be kind of cool if somebody on here went to a high school that had one of those challenge day things.

Personally, I think that even though the program is supposed to be well-meaning, it just kind of seems like after awhile, fights and stuff will still happen. And on the show, I have noticed that the entire high school does not participate, which means that not everybody is going to have a "life changing experience".

I also don't like the idea of sharing your personal struggles and problems with strangers. Personally I don't like people feeling sorry for me. What are your thoughts?

I’ve read stories on the internet from people who participated at their high school. They said after awhile, everything goes right back to normal.

The stigma and challenge of high school will always be there socially. People are just so immature in different capacities and very intolerant because they don’t know how to deal with people different from them. This is an okay program, in my opinion, but the only benefits coming out of it are being able to participate in a group therapy session and maybe gaining new friends.

I personally love challenge day. I went my freshman year before their ever was a show, and it was fantastic. I have gone to challenge as a student leader last year, and loved it too. I plan to go this year and hope many people enjoy it. I know I did.

we have had challenge day for a while. it’s a voluntary program, which is set up by the challenge day club at our school. it’s done on a first come - first serve basis. i think they run two sessions in two days, and they take about 100 students each session. this year, mtv contacted the school and they actually came to film an episode of this show. it’ll be interesting to see it air. i don’t really see it being life-changing. i’ve heard there is a lot of crying and hugging, however, i see little change afterwards.

My school does Challenge Day every year for the freshmen. However, I did not get to participate when I was a freshman because there were too many freshmen that year and not enough Challenge days… My high school doesn’t really change because of it. It’s just a day to get out of class.
