JMU ended up giving me a B+ on a presentation for GIS I had to give infront of Dr. Kolvoord.

I also go to school in Loudoun County...which apparently has a good public education system...

My two letters of rec are also coming from JMU graduates. One the principal of my old middle school who's seen both me and my brother, so i've known him for abit, and another from my GIS teacher.

If you asked me to guess (and you did), I would guess that you would not get in. I would call JMU a reach because of your SAT scores. The average JMU student has a 1100-1200. (they don’t look at writing) and you have a 1010 (which is above average), but below JMU’s 25th percentile. Since your GPA is not fantastic, unless you have God-like recs and essays, (and maybe even if you do), I don’t think you will get in. I’m sorry, but don’t lose hope. You have a better shot than everyone who isn’t applying.

Id say you have a chance, i got in with a lower SAT of 890 and i had a gpa of 3.4 was out of state had a good amount of ecs

Thanks guys.

On the subject of SATs, i bumped mine up to a 1600/2400 and a 1100/1600.

and I got my class rank, im 28%, just above the top 1/4th, damn.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes.
