chance a CA kid with low EVERYTHING

i'm a chinese male, instate resident. I want to major in engineering. I haven't chosen but it might be aerospace or environmental. No guarantees though...

GPA: 3.3 UW, 3.5 W
I have taken 2 AP classes so far, Calc AB and APUSH. I got a 4 and 3 on the AP exams.
This year I am taking 3 APs, AP Physics C, Calc BC, and Environmental Science AP. I also have regular GOvt/Econ and English. I play Volleyball at high school.

I have been playing Volleyball for my school since 10th grade. I ran XC from 9-10, Track at 9th.

My SAT score is 1620, ACT is 24. My SAT2 are MathIIC(650) and US History(600). I took another ACT but I probably did bad on it.

I didn't sign for any clubs until my junior year: CSF(tutoring club), Interact Club(volunteer), Chinese Club, Students Run LA.

Here are the schools I want to apply to:
CSU Long Beach
Cal Poly Pomona
Cal Poly SLO
UC Irvine
UC Riverside
UC Santa Barbra
UC Berkeley
UCLA

Well I don't think I'll get into UCB or UCLA, but our counselors say might as well apply because you'll never know if you get in since the only thing you lose is $60. This kid from our school got into UCLA with a 3.0 GPA, bad SAT score and no clubs.

^Well the kid that got in must have had either a crazy stroke of luck or a good mistake.

Engineering is a really impacted major at Berkeley, UCLA, and Cal Poly SLO, so…it might bit harder for you.

But overall, I think you have a good chance at UC Riverside and Long Beach.

Your GPA is low, but your AP scores are solid and your SAT scores are decent though not superb. You’ve involved with a fair amount of clubs but since you haven’t spent much time in them, it’s not as impressive.

I don’t think you’ll get into UCLA, UC Berkley, UCSB, or Cal Poly SLO.
I think you have a small shot at CSU Long Beach, Cal Poly Pomona, and UC Irvine.
Your best chance is probably at UC Riverside. I’d be willing to bet you can get in there, it had a 78.4% acceptance rate last year.
