Thanks all!!

reject all the way. if a guidance counselor puts you below average for character your going to need major athletic/musician recruitment or double legacy/generous donor to take that smear away from your app. stanford has thousands of qualified applicants why should they settle for one with a below average character? I mean character is probably one of the most important things they are looking for. i really think you would benefit from discussing this with your guidance counselor so they remove that from future apps. i think its soo inappropriate for her to write that even if its her personal belief. it is her job to get you into colleges not to ruin your chances. seriously, say something, speak up.

I have... I've talked to her and I've talked to the principal. It's sooo ridiculous. If you look at a couple threads I've started you see a more in-depth explanation. Also, my teachers gave me awesome recs... it's just an ongoing personal conflict, plus the counselor's blatant unprofessionalism (not only in this... but she deprecates coworkers and administration at our school quite often).

got the same SAT I and ACT scores as you, funny how that worked out. the 34 on ACT corresponds to 2250-2350 on sat, and yet we didnt get anywhere near that

b.c of ur act scores, i thkn u have a decent shot at all the schools u listed. good luck!
