Chance a Cornell CAS hopeful?

Hi I'd like to know my chances at the college of arts and sciences @ Cornell. One thing that is pretty major is I don’t have the 3 year language requirement (only 2 years!) but they say ‘explain deficiencies separately’ and I hope to make some good argument. I was more into music (I was in band 9th and 10th- and I play an instrument outside of school) than I was into foreign language and I already understand another language at home. I hope this won’t be an instant disqualifier
GPA: ~3.85 (4 B's Junior year :/ 2 B's in AP physics alone)
Rank: Top 20% (FML)
Weighted: ~4.1 (My school has barely ANY Ap's like 5 total and 3 of them are art related so I had to take Physics and Biology AP separately)
AP's: Physics B (5) Biology (5)
SAT: (taken twice)
Second time: 2190 Math 800, CR 720, Writing 670 or 1520 (CR/M)
Subject (math taken twice): Math II 710/800, Physics 740, Bio M 800
Senior AP’s: Chem, Calc AB, and Stats (Stats and Calc are the only two legit AP's offered at my school, I have to take chem specially -similarly to Physics & Bio)

Science EC's:
Accepted to the COSMOS summer science program (acceptance rate is like ~25-30% I think). I won the Science Idea prize at this program (out of 200 people who submitted). Won a $500 scholarship from Intel through this program for a science proposal
Won 2nd place in Biology at the regional science fair and qualified for state fair
^The project was funded on the scholarship I received
FIRST Robotics (2009-2011) as electrical team (2009-2010), mechanical (2010-2011) Our team won the regionals for the first time and made it to national last year This EC drains a ton of time ^
Worked at UC campus for ~5-6 months in a lab on my project

Music:
I've been playing the Sitar roughly 8-9 years (Northern Indian classical music)
Made finalist every year in the Satyadevi Indian classical music competition (2008-2011) and won 1st place junior 2009 and 3rd Senior 2011. Played before some distinguished Indian classical artists in concerts and played in various cultural functions in my community.

Other/Random:
Boy Scout, Star (I joined late like when I was 13, still have 2 more years) Lots of volunteering through this
Counselor at a camp
Martial Arts 10 years
Won 1st place in my city’s film video film contest in experimental

Teacher Rec: Physics teacher-who knows me pretty well. The other is probably going to be my English teacher who is willing to explain the grade deficiency. (He's known me for 3 years)
Race: Indian (dammit) Gender: XY
Comments: I think I show a strong interest in science and music which I think should count for something when applying in this college. I’m also entering in Siemens and Intel STS but I doubt I’ll get anything. I was originally going to apply in CoE but got intimidated by the admission stats for Asian males. Any comments are appreciated!

GPA and SATs may need to improve. I’ve seen someone from my school who has 3.88 GPA and 2300+ on the SATs (and with a fair amount of EC’s and awards) get waitlisted to Cornell, so please don’t underestimate Cornell as the “easiest” Ivy. The Science Competitions and Music are pluses for your application, but convey your passion for science effectively through your essays. Being asian would definitely be a (sadly) negative impact, so just do your best in school, on tests, and on your applications!

Thanks for you input! although I don’t recall saying Cornell is an easy school to get into-I checked the CAS stats at cornell and the acceptance rate is about 1/8 0_o. Btw did that person that you mentioned have EC’s relating to his/her major?

raise the verbal SAT and you have a veeeerrry solid chance

You should be fine! I think you need to play up the boy scouts thing! Good luck!
