<p>This is my first post on CC. </p>

<p>Im an Indian male living in Virginia. I lived in Singapore and went to an American school there, and moved to the US after my freshman year. Currently attending a reputable small private school. </p>

<p>GPA - 3.66
SAT- 2250</p>

<p>I have taken a very rigorous schedule... at my old school in Singapore they offered one honors course for freshmen which I didn't take (Biology Honors). Other than that I have taken many honors and APs at my school in the US. </p>

<p>APs: AP Euro (5), APUSH (5), AP Macro/Micro (5), AP Lang (5), AP Bio (4)</p>

<p>Current APs: AP Stats, AP Comparative Government, AP Spanish Lang, AP Lit, AP Pyschology</p>

<p>I have received college credit from Georgetown University as well during a summer course, received an A in my class</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:</p>

<p>Grade 6 Piano ABRSM, Grade 2 Theory ABRSM
Have been in good roles in the school play and musical (3 plays, 1 musical)

President of the World Water Aid club

<p>Awards: Won first place in South East Asia for my National History Day documentary, went on to compete at the national level. </p>

<p>Work experience/Community Service: Interned at political campaign offices. I helped my dad with his investment banking business. Also worked at IHOP and Mcdonalds to earn some more money, and I am also a math tutor. I spent an entire summer doing community service in India (lots of hours). </p>

<p>Languages: Fluent in English, Tamil, Hindi, and know proficient Spanish. Taught myself Russian and Chinese. </p>

<p>Chance me for- NYU CAS (double-major in political science and economics), Rutgers (economics), UCLA (economics), UVA (economics), USC (economics), Wesleyan (economics), U Michigan (economics), U Rochester (economics), U Maryland College Park (both parents went here, going to major in economics). I am applying Early Action for U Michigan, UVA, UCLA, USC, and Rutgers, and ED for NYU. </p>

<p>Essays are very good, and my teacher and counselor recs are very good because they love me. Not applying for financial aid. </p>

<p>Your leadership and ECs are very good IMO. I think the Singapore school definately stands out, and I hope you had some good experiences there that you wrote about in your essays. I don’t know that much about economics (BME personally), but it looks like you didn’t take any math classes (ex: AP Calc) besides Stats. Again, I don’t know what that means for an economics major… Your SAT is fine, but your GPA is a bit average. Overall I think you have a good chance at most of these schools. You should consider applying for the University of Chicago; I think they have a good economics program.</p>

<p>Your course load is great. The ECs are great too but they aren’t very economics focused other than 1 or 2 of them. That shouldn’t be much of a problem though.I’m surprised you aren’t applying to Penn CAS or even Wharton. GPA is a bit low as well but you honestly seem like an amazing student.

UCLA- Possible Acceptance/ Possible Deferral (you aren’t from Cali :frowning: )
USC- Deferred

NYU (ED)- Possibly deferred though I would accept you since you’re ED</p>

<p>By “Acceptance???”, I mean maybe accepted (aka low match on this website). I don’t believe they would just outright reject you but you might just end up on the waitlist.

<p>Ucla doesnt have early btw. But everywhere seems like match for you except for maybe ucla and usc</p>

<p>I think your ECs are great (being the president of a billion clubs definitely helps). Your proficiency in so many languages is also unique. I don’t know how much Varsity Tennis is going to help you, as it is such a stereotypically Asian sport. </p>

<p>Schools love kids who are multilingual. Your GPA and lack of diversity in your EC’s are lackluster, but you do have lots of leadership and a very rigorous courseload. I think every school on here is a match.
