thanks.

Looks like you could have been a competitive application. Say, have you ever been suspended or anything? Is there a large amount of students at your school accepted into Michigan State University?

How late did you apply?

I applied in early nov and yes I had a day of iss. I have been accepted at other schools and it didn't seem to be a problem, is msu really sensitive to suspensions?

The iss was because I had an exacto knife.

Hmm I find that really odd. You have a really good application. Your test scores are amazing for MSU and you have a solid GPA. I guess MSU really does take the ISS into account and they really don't like it.

Have you contacted admissions to ask them about the ISS? Or anything like that?

I feel like it has to be about the ISS because I applied in late December, out of state, with a 3.16 and 1140/1800 sat 26 ACT and got in.

Don't be too discouraged, lots of people got "deferred" from MSU. With your current application I'd say that you are likely to get in with patience. It couldn't hurt to send in a brief letter of continued interest to MSU (addressing why you feel that MSU is right for you) that might tilt your application from limbo to acceptance.

Well I read an post on here that nearly half of deferred students eventually get accepted, that was surprising.

Though if you have such a bad record, that may be your problem.

hopefully i'll get in, thanks for the input guys!
