Yeah, I know my college GPA sucks like anything but I was hoping my average HS grades, ECs and good recommendations would make up for it. Also, the fact that i'm from the Philippines (meaning i'll be paying full since im an international student) will help. (and if they're trying to diversify)

-Association for Communications Technology Management member
-Ateneo Junior Marketing Association member

Will still take SATs this May 1st because they weren't required here. I'm worried that I may not have slots since transfer admissions are rolling. (Especially so in Syracuse, my 1st choice)

TOEFL- will take this Saturday. I'm pretty confident since I'm bilingual and even though English isn't my 1st language, its a predominant language here.

Question: would I have to give my 2nd sem grades when I finish even if I don't want them credited?

Please chance me for:
Syracuse University (Newhouse)- or not [this is my 1st choice! Im really praying for this]
American University

If you you have other schools you can recommend please do so. I prefer the east coast. :)

I'll chance back!!!

Oh! I forgot:

Class rank: 32/90

These stats feel familiar, I think you posted this before?
The answer is the same. Your gpa is very low both for college and high school. The vast majority of these schools are reaches/ extreme reaches. You have no safeties on this list, you need to start looking at less prestigious schools or you seriously risk not getting any acceptances.

Yeah. I just added a few things I might have forgotten here and there.

Even Pace isn’t a safety?

Well, thanks so much for your replies. You seem to be the only one willing to help me out. I just really want to get out of my current university. Its getting the best of me and I don’t want to end up in a school (in another country) which I don’t think is a good one, you know?

But I appreciate your comments! Any recommendations on safety schools? East coast, communications/public relations major. Thanks!

bump… :D

bump. (hopefully for the last time)

I just want more opinions pleaase…

Oh and please add Hofstra to the list

try looking into rowan, temple, quinnipiac, duquesne, seton hall, st. johns, etc. these could be a safety. I am applying for transfer too but its hard to say for transfer because it depends how many people decide to leave or stay this year. But as for those numbers you are looking for a reach. I know NYU picks lot of international students, but at the same time they are very very picky. As for some of those schools such as syracuse, Umass, etc may take many students, however states schools do not take too many international students so i suggest looking into private institutes.
Best of luck to you.
