cmon, bump

I would say michigan, USC, and Washington are all reaches/mid reaches
Case, Uwisc, slight reach
Everywhere else is in

for Illinois: if you’re thinking of doing engineering, Illinois is a reach, slight reach at other majors though

You likely will be admitted to all of your schools. A 33 ACT is outstanding and a 3.4 GPA is good and can certainly be improved if you are motivated by the courses you select in college. I will be surprised if you are rejected by any of these schools. My honest opinion is that you need to add a couple reach schools such as Cornell, Duke, & Johns Hopkins University. Varsity tennis, captain of robotics club, 8 years of guitar & medical research combined with a 33 ACT & good grades make you a very interesting candidate.

crap, the 33 is a typo. its really a 30 but might go up with retakes. do you think that will change alot?

Yes, a score of 30 on the ACT instead of a 33 ACT is a significant difference which suggests that your original list of schools is appropriate. A 33 ACT suggested that high school might be boring for you and the lack of interest in your high school courses resulted in slightly above average grades, whereas a 30 ACT suggests that your grades match your abilities in a competitive high school. But, even with an ACT score of 30, you should be accepted to all or almost all of your schools.

Likely at Michigan with that GPA? Even with a high ACT, I’d say slight reach (50-50).

kyledavid is correct re: Michigan as it is one of the top 5 business schools in the U.S. according to BusinessWeek & USNews. But it is healthy to apply to one or two reach schools. Sorry, but I was thrown off by the typo of a 33 ACT.

thanks for the replies, but im not applying to the bussiness school. im applying to neuroscience or microbiology at all except purdue, where im applying BME.

is washington really harder to get into then wisconsin?

bbbbbbumpppp

bbbbbbumpppp

looking pretty good, just go for it

I think you’ll get into all of them except michigan, unless you do get a 33+ on the act.

what do you think about my chances at rochester? and am i really in at USC(southern cal)

UMichigan-AA: High reach
wisconsin madison: High reach
Case: Reach
USC: Low reach
umiversity of minnesota: Medium reach
University of Washington: Low reach
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign: Low reach for E-school, high match LA
UC boulder: High match
purdue (biomedical engineering): Unsure

Chances would probably improve with (1.) a 33 ACT, (2.) strong AP scores, and similar factors. You might want to see what options remain available at UMissouri.

are u serious? wisconsin is a high reach?! minnesota is a reach too? why would i have a better chance at usc then at minnesota?

one last bump
