Chance a friend for MIT?

<p>So, my friend is really nervous about getting into MIT, so I told him I'd get some chances for him. Here are his relevant information items:</p>

<p>Ethnicity: Asian-American (Chinese)</p>

<p>Class Rank: 3/538
WGPA: 4.18
SAT: 2100 (730M, 700CR, 670W) --> retook, 2200+ is projected.
SAT IIs: 790 Math 2, 740 Physics, 670 Chem (retaking chem in Nov.) </p>

<p>Math Courses Taken/Grades:
Honors Geometry - A
Honors Algebra 2 - A
Honors Precalculus - A
AP Statistics 1 - A
AP Statistics 2 - A
AP Calculus BC - N/A (taking this year)</p>

<p>Science Courses Taken/Grades
Honors Biology - A
Honors Integrated Science - A
Honors Chemistry 1 -A
Honors Chemistry 2 - A
Honors Physics 1 - A

AP Chemistry 1 & 2 - N/A (taking this year)

<p>So, are these good chances for MIT?</p>

<p>I wish that he would have a good chance but I have scores and grades almost the same and I think it is really difficult to get in.One thing is sure that he should try,Good luck!</p>

<p>I think it's going to be tough to get into, especially with a 730 in Math and a 670 in Chem and no extenuating circumstances (like lack of opportunity or bad school or something), but since he is retaking those, it's going to be hard to accurately chance him.</p>

<p>look at the MIT results thread. examples include tennisgirl08, ducktape, sunshine<em>breeze, la montagne, easonh89, yanners, flyguy</em>, talkloveplay, Vivi, etc...</p>
